JAQAR ADVISES BONDMANN QUIMICA IN THE SALE OF TECHNOLOGY, INTELECTUAL PROPERTY AND PATENTS FROM THE OFF LINE.

JAQAR Corporate Strategy guided Bondmann Química Ltda in the transferring of technology, brands, patents and intellectual property from the OFF LINE – OIL FREE FLUID to Total Marketing and Services, a subsidiary of TOTAL S.A, the fourth largest oil and gas company in the world, with a strong influence in the solar energy market.
 

Success Case: Bondmann’s R&D department has developed a line of biodegradable, oil-free lubricants (OFF LINE – OIL FREE FLUID), which launched in 2013. In 2014, the product FLUID – B90, which is part of this product line, won the National Award for Innovation/CNI. The OFF LINE is an eco-friendly, disruptive technology for machinery use.

 

JAQAR has been hired by BONDMANN to advise the company strategically and financially with the objective of promoting a competitive M&A process between the largest global players in this market segment. We aimed to maximize the value of this disruptive technology, looking to bring capillarity to this product line all over the world, promoting environmental conservation.

 

JAQAR’s biggest challenge in this project was to attract international players, showing that BONDMANN, as a Brazilian middle market company, had managed to develop a 100% sustainable, world-class product line. Throughout this process, we were able to attract global business groups with a revenue exceeding 150 billion dollars, willing to look into the OFF LINE and compete for the products developed by BONDMANN. Our strategy enabled us to receive proposals of value maximization greater than 75 X the adjusted EBITDA of the company, which, according to our research, would be a groundbreaking feat for any Brazilian company with an EBITDA superior to R$ 2 million.

 

The Bondmann shareholders chose to conduct negotiations with TOTAL, seeing as though both companies had an absolute alignment of ideas regarding the development of products focused on environmental conservation and sustainability. Bondmann will continue to explore the OFF LINE in the Brazilian market.
